Lille Nantes prediction 2025-01-04

Lille vs Nantes prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-01-03 18:00.
[p]Lille ended 2024 unbeaten in 17 matches across all competitions (W10, D7), scoring 3+ goals on a very impressive ten separate occasions during that sequence. Courtesy of the second-longest run without defeat in their history, which includes 11 Ligue 1 games (W5, D6), they spent the Christmas break in the top four and now have the task of extending such form into 2025.[/p]

[p]Bruno GĂ©nĂ©sio’s side will match the club’s longest unbeaten run of 19 matches, which has stood for more than 40 years, if they avoid defeat in both of their next two games. The first of those, this weekend against Nantes, bodes well if the history books are anything to go by. Lille are currently unbeaten in 17 Ligue 1 H2Hs between the pair (W13, D4), whilst recording four clean sheets against the Canaries on home soil in that run, leaving them well placed to win a Ligue 1 home game ‘to nil’ for just the second time this season.[/p]

[p]Like Lille, Nantes ended 2024 with a victory away from home against lower league opposition in the Coupe de France, beating JA Drancy 4-0. But Antoine Kombouaré’s side haven’t tasted victory on the road in Ligue 1 since the end of August, with just a solitary clean sheet recorded on their travels (0-0 at Toulouse) in the league so far this season.[/p]

[p]Failing to win any of the seven Ligue 1 games in which they conceded the opening goal this term (D1, L6) has contributed to the Canaries winning only one of their 12 Ligue 1 games since the September international break (D4, L7). Free falling towards the relegation zone as a result, they were just one point above the bottom three pre-round, with the threat of their top-flight stay coming to an end becoming more real by the week.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Lille’s Benjamin AndrĂ© was named in Flashscore France’s Ligue 1 XI of 2024 but recently served his second suspension of the season in December, having accumulated six yellow cards all after half-time. Nantes’ Nicolas Pallois also saw yellow last outing and has lost ten of his 15 career H2Hs with Lille (W2, D3), with bookings in eight of those games compounding his misery.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: Lille scored in each of their last 32 Ligue 1 home matches.[/p]
