Lithuania Kosovo prediction 2024-10-12

Lithuania vs Kosovo prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League C betting tips on match 2024-10-11 13:00.
[p]September saw Lithuania lose their opening two UEFA Nations League (UNL) games, and as a result they sit bottom of the pile in Group C2, with only one country across League C conceding more than the four goals they did in their first two fixtures of the campaign. That should come as no surprise as across their last three UNL campaigns, all in League C, Lithuania have conceded a whopping 37 goals at an average of over two per game.[/p]

[p]Those two defeats last month also extended a dismal run to just four wins in 16 matches since Edgaras Jankauskas’ return for a second stint as head coach in January 2023 (D4, L8). All four of those wins have come ‘to nil’, with two seeing the opposition have a man sent off, so any success here is likely to be supplemented by a strong defensive performance. [/p]

[p]Kosovo took three points from their opening two UNL games in September having thumped Cyprus 4-0, the same scoreline by which they won their only previous meeting with Lithuania back in March 2021. Providing a second win in five matches under the tutelage of Franco Foda (L3), the win against Cyprus came on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Romania – their biggest-ever loss in this competition.[/p]

[p]The victory sees the Kosovans sit second in Group C2 after two games, and leaves them in good shape as they bid to reach League B for the first time ever. While continuing that positive momentum is far from guaranteed, goals looked a lot more likely given Kosovo’s 20 UNL matches to date have averaged a total of 2.65 per game, while only once since November 2020 has any game involving Kosovo ended goalless.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Armandas Kučys has netted three times in his last six international appearances, with each of those goals being Lithuania’s opener. MĂ«rgim Vojvoda returns from suspension for Kosovo after his red card against Romania – he’s been carded in six of his most recent nine international appearances.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only one of Kosovo’s last ten internationals saw both teams score.[/p]
