Liverpool LASK prediction 2023-11-30

Liverpool vs LASK prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-11-29 20:00.
Liverpool’s 100% start to UEFA Europa League (UEL) Group E was brought to an end on matchday four by Toulouse in a 3-2 defeat. However, Jürgen Klopp will hope that loss only delays his side’s advance to the knockout rounds since they still sit top of the group, two points clear of the French outfit and knowing victory here against LASK would secure their place at the summit.

Despite being the bookies’ overwhelming favourite to do just that, it remains to be seen how much their gruelling 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the weekend has taken out of them. That game again saw Liverpool battle from 1-0 down, something they’ve showcased they can do on a regular basis this season, winning half of their ten games (D3, L2) from that position. They’ll hope not to be in that predicament against Lask though, as the Reds have a favourable record against Austrian clubs to fall back on, winning seven of their previous nine encounters (D1, L1).

Opponents LASK have already been one of those victims, when going down 3-1 to the Merseyside juggernauts despite leading at half-time on the opening day of this UEL group-stage campaign. Thomas Sageder’s men then went on to lose two more group matches before dispatching Royale Union Saint-Gilloise 3-0 last time out, a result which kept alive their prospects of a transfer into the UEFA Europa Conference League knockouts via a third-place finish.

Anything but defeat for the Black-Whites on their first trip to Anfield would be considered a massive surprise, especially as they’ve never beaten an English team in five previous attempts (D1, L4). Their recent travelling form in Europe is poor as well, having gone winless in their last four European away games (D1, L3).

Players to watch: Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai knows LASK all too well from his time at Red Bull Salzburg, where he proved fruitful against them, racking up six goal contributions in as many H2Hs during his time in Austria (G2, A4). The visitors will hope their own lucky charm Robert Žulj will be on song, since he’s avoided losing in an astounding 35 consecutive games when scoring (W30, D5).

Hot streak: Liverpool have won all of their nine home matches this term by a 2+ goal margin.
