Ludogorets Midtjylland prediction 2025-01-23

Ludogorets vs Midtjylland prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – League phase betting tips on match 2025-01-22 20:00.
[p]Both Ludogorets and Midtjylland are returning from their respective winter breaks and have their work cut out in the quest for UEFA Europa League (UEL) play-off qualification, with the remaining two league phase games being their only competitive outings until February. The Bulgarian side remain one of the only five sides yet to win (D3, L3) and need to emerge victorious from both remaining games to have any hope of progression. [/p]

[p]Despite battling back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with AZ on matchday six, that result marked the fourth time in this campaign that the Eagles conceded exactly twice, with the two outliers being goalless draws. Turning things around at home will require a greater push, as Ludogorets have lost four of their last seven UEL home games (W2, D1), and in all five of those failures to win they conceded first.[/p]

[p]Midtjylland are only marginally inside top-24 after a bright three-game start to their league phase (W2, D1) has given way to three defeats on the bounce, each time conceding exactly two goals. The Wolves need to halt that losing run to have any hopes of making it to the knockout stages of this competition for the first time since 2015/16, and they’ll realistically need to win their final two league phase games.[/p]

[p]The Danish visitors are poor travellers having lost six of their recent seven away games across all competitions (W1), failing to score on five occasions, including a pair of 2-0 defeats in the UEL. Midtjylland did win 2-0 on matchday two ‘away’ against Maccabi Tel Aviv, but that game was held in neutral Serbia – it remains their only victory across their last eight trips in this competition (D3, L4).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Erick Marcus netted the match opener in three of his last four scoring games, including in a 2-1 defeat to Athletic Club at this venue on matchday four. Adam Buksa has scored Midtjylland’s first goal of the match with his six strikes this season, although only one of them came on the road.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Midtjylland’s last eight away matches produced exactly one first-half goal.[/p]
