Luton Tottenham prediction 2023-10-07

Luton vs Tottenham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-10-06 11:30.
Manager Rob Edwards has no plans to overhaul Luton’s gameplan, despite suffering a heartbreaking defeat to Burnley on Tuesday. Jacob Bruun Larsen’s 85th minute strike consigned the Hatters side to a 2-1 loss, but their boss insists the club need to “believe in what we are doing” as they prepare for another “big game” this weekend.

That defeat was a sixth of the season across all competitions for Luton, who have picked up just four points from seven matches (W1, D1) since returning to the top flight, as well as being dumped out of the Carabao Cup by third-tier Exeter. There are signs that they are beginning to get to grips with life in the top flight though, having registered their first ever Premier League (PL) win by beating Everton last weekend.

Their next assignment is a tough one, as second-placed Tottenham make the short journey to Kenilworth Road. The North London outfit will still be buoyant after controversially beating nine-man Liverpool 2-1 thanks to a last-gasp own-goal this past weekend, a result that left them with 17 points from their opening seven matches (W5, D2), their joint-best start to a PL campaign.

It’s therefore been quite the introduction for Ange Postecoglou, who took charge in the summer and has suffered only one defeat – and even that came on penalties against Fulham in the Carabao Cup. Navigating the squad through the sale of Harry Kane has been no mean feat, but he has fans dreaming of ending a 16-year wait for some silverware, and even insists they can still get better after stating the team is “in its infancy in the way we want to play.”

Key battle: Goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski has now gone ten matches without keeping a clean sheet, including each of his seven games since moving to Luton from Blackburn this summer. Attempting to extend that miserable record will be Spurs’ Son Heung-min, already with six strikes to his name this season and having netted first or last in eight of his last 11 goalscoring appearances.

Hot streak: Seven of Spurs’ last eight away PL matches have featured 3+ goals, with Tottenham scoring at least twice in six of those outings.
