Mallorca Espanyol prediction 2025-03-15

Mallorca vs Espanyol prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-03-14 15:15.
[p]Another stern performance saw Mallorca hold top-four chasing Athletic Club to a 1-1 draw last weekend. That was their fourth stalemate from their last five matches in league action (W1) – all of which finished 1-1 – but their five-game unbeaten league streak is their longest of this campaign so far and has left them just four points off the top-six ahead of the matchday.[/p]

[p]In such a position of promise, the Pirates will know that turning draws into wins is vital, especially as only two La Liga teams have drawn more home league games than Mallorca this season. It’ll be a tough task to start that revival against Espanyol as they haven’t beaten them in four straight attempts (D1, L3), and sluggish starts have hampered them in those latest H2Hs, conceding before the 25th minute in the last two. [/p]

[p]Losing just one of their last eight league matches (W3, D4) has undoubtedly helped Espanyol’s fight for survival, but they still sit just two points above the drop zone pre-round. Getting their first La Liga win at this venue since 2010 could be the difference maker in their quest to avoid immediate demotion back to the second tier. [/p]

[p]Their away form has been a huge factor in why they find themselves struggling down the bottom, with only basement boys Valladolid (three) winning fewer than Espanyol’s five away points this season. Perhaps 2025 has brought a change in fortunes, however, with Barcelona (none) the only La Liga team who have lost fewer games than Espanyol (one) this year.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Mallorca’s Dani RodrĂguez has been involved in ten goals in a single La Liga campaign for the first time in his career (G4, A6). Espanyol’s Javi Puado scored at this venue in the Copa del Rey in 2022 and each of his six scoring appearances this season saw him score his side’s opening goal. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Espanyol haven’t scored more than once in an away league game all season. [/p]
