Mallorca Valencia prediction 2024-11-29

Mallorca vs Valencia prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-11-28 20:00.
[p]After experiencing a three-game scoring drought prior to the international break (D1, L2) that arrested a five-game surge up the La Liga table beforehand (W4, L1), Mallorca returned to the win column in dramatic and bizarre fashion with a 3-2 win over Las Palmas. The Pirates surged into a 2-0 lead before capitulating to 2-2 and having Vedat Muriqi sent off, only for the unlikeliest of goalscorers Johan Mojica to produce a 91st minute winner via an indirect freekick! [/p]

[p]Mallorca climbed a couple spots to eighth place in the table as a result of that win, and the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix faithful will be hoping that performance inspires their side to improve on a very mediocre record of two wins from their seven home games this season (D3, L2). Manager Jagoba Arrasate and his troops will be keen to deliver especially with Valencia due to visit, a side they’re aiming to post their best ever unbeaten streak against in the top-flight by avoiding defeat for a fifth-straight meeting (W2, D2).[/p]

[p]Valencia also gave their fans something to cheer about with a 4-2 win over Betis in the last round, snapping a five game winless streak prior (D3, L2) in what was their first appearance since the devastating floods in their region. That win lifted Valencia off the foot of the table, putting them on the cusp of escaping the relegation zone, albeit only temporarily perhaps, should they be victorious again here. [/p]

[p]Doing so would see the visitors record back-to-back La Liga victories for the first time since April, which coincidentally was the last time they won on the road too (D3, L6). Manager Rubén Baraja will be desperate to snap their poor road form, not least as he’s failed to beat Mallorca in seven previous attempts in his managerial career (D4, L3).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Mallorca’s Dani Rodríguez kickstarted the scoring against Las Palmas and always seems to be in the action against Valencia, picking up two goals, two assists, and two yellow cards in his seven games against them. He scored in this fixture last season along with Valencia’s Diego López, who had scored six straight goals away from home before netting against Betis last time out. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Mallorca have lost just three of their last 18 La Liga home matches as the betting favourite (W7, D8).[/p]
