[p]Manchester City come into the tournament on the back of a disappointing domestic campaign, finishing third en route to losing their Premier League crown, in what was their first trophyless season since Pep Guardiola’s first campaign in charge in 2016/17. They did finish the season strongly though, losing only one of their final 13 competitive games of the campaign (W9, D3), so Guardiola’s men should arrive here full of confidence.
