Millwall Hull prediction 2022-11-05

Millwall vs Hull prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-11-04 15:00.
Manager Gary Rowett has called for “a bit more quality” in the final third from his Millwall players as they look to end a run of two games without a goal. The Lions followed up last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield by drawing 0-0 at Birmingham on Tuesday, managing a measly four shots on target across both outings.

Rowett will therefore be pleased to return to The Den where Millwall have won their last four matches to move within touching distance of the top six. Indeed, they have been victorious in ten of their last 12 home league contests (L2) and will be confident of extending that record against visitors Hull, who have lost on nine of their last 15 trips to this corner of South East London (W1, D5).

The Tigers certainly won’t be any pushovers though, as their players try to impress new manager Liam Rosenior. The former Derby boss was appointed as Shota Arveladze’s permanent replacement on Thursday and takes over a side who were beaten 3-1 at Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, their ninth defeat in 12 games (W3).

That means Hull dangle dangerously close to the Championship relegation zone, familiar territory for a side that finished 19th last season. Job number one for Rosenior will be tightening up a defence who have kept just one clean sheet in 18 outings and conceded more goals than any other team in the division (35), but they can draw confidence from winning their last two away fixtures at Rotherham and Blackpool.

Key battle: Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw scored in both meetings between these two teams last season, but has beaten Hull just twice in five attempts (D1, L2). Trying to stop him will be Tigers defender Tobias Figueiredo, who has never won in four previous clashes with the Lions (D2, L2).

Hot stat: Millwall have scored 73% of their 22 league goals on home soil – the joint highest percentage in the division.
