Molde Shamrock Rovers prediction 2022-10-06

Molde vs Shamrock Rovers prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2022-10-05 16:45.
With just one point each after two rounds, Molde and Shamrock Rovers are lagging behind in Group F of the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL), increasing the importance of these successive back-to-back upcoming clashes. Molde are on the verge of a fifth league title, sitting 15 points clear at the top after 11 straight league wins, but need European improvements to make it out of the group for a third time in a row.

Playing Rovers may turn out to be a blessing in disguise as Molde boast a perfect record (W4) against teams from the Republic of Ireland in UEFA competitions. The Norwegians have lost just two of their last seven European home matches too (W4, D1), so will hope their home form can give them a crucial edge here.

With one point on the board Shamrock Rovers have already done better than their only previous European group stage appearance when they lost all six matches, but they’ll still be hoping for more from this latest campaign. Although they can take pride in being one of the nine reigning domestic champions taking part in this season’s UECL group stage, the Irish side are also one of just three sides yet to score! Still, the visitors are top of their domestic league after consecutive wins but the financial rewards of doing well in this competition mean kickstarting their European campaign should be the priority.

Strictly in the UECL though, Stephen Bradley’s men are coming into this game on a four-game winless run (D1, L3), and it’s hard to see them snapping that based on their poor record on the road, winning just two of their last 12 European away matches (D3, L7).

Players to watch: Ola Brynhildsen’s last eight goalscoring games have come in wins for Molde, including a brace in Europe. For the visitors, Graham Burke scored their final goal last weekend and assisted Rovers’ opener in their last away European win.

Hot stat: Molde have failed to score before half-time in seven of their last nine UECL matches.
