After a poor start to the season, three consecutive victories have lifted Monaco into fifth ahead of this round, as they pursue qualification for the UEFA Champions League group stage. The nature of their recent domestic results is particularly encouraging, beating Lyon and Nice, while holding Paris Saint-Germain to an impressive draw at the Parc des Princes.
Manager Philippe Clement has overseen an impressive transformation in his side’s defensive performances too, conceding just two goals from their last five outings in all competitions, after conceding nine in the three games prior to that run.
