Monaco Nantes prediction 2025-02-15

Monaco vs Nantes prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-02-14 18:00.
[p]On the back of a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League (UCL) play-off, Monaco are staring down the barrel of a European exit, with their only qualification hopes for next season now likely coming through a top-six finish in Ligue 1. Adi Hütter’s side have now lost three of their last four games across all competitions (W1), as well as three of their last six matches in the league (W2, D1).[/p]

[p]Prior to this round, only relegation-battling Reims (15) had conceded more goals in the division this calendar year than Monaco’s 12, but the Red and Whites do remain well placed to secure European football despite that. Beginning the weekend in fourth, level on points with third-placed Nice, their aim will now be to move into the top-three to earn automatic progression into the league phase of next year’s UCL.[/p]

[p]Nantes visit the Stade Louis II desperate to pick up points as they battle against relegation, with the 21 points they’ve amassed so far this season being the club’s third-lowest points tally ever at this stage of a Ligue 1 campaign. They too come into this clash following a loss after being beaten by Brest last weekend, though that was their first league loss in six having picked up seven points from the five matches prior (W1, D4).[/p]

[p]Despite their recent upturn in form, the Canaries still started this round just three points above Ligue 1’s bottom three. They will need to improve drastically upon recent history if they are to pick up a result here after winning just one of the last 22 Ligue 1 H2Hs (D6, L15), and with Nantes having been beaten more often in the top-flight by Monaco than by any other side (47 times), the omens don’t appear good. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Thilo Kehrer has faced Nantes more often than any other club in his career, winning six of his ten H2Hs to date (D1, L3) and recording four clean sheets in the process. Opposite number Jean-Charles Castelletto is yet to win any of his eight career H2Hs with Monaco within 90 minutes (D5, L3).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Monaco’s last three home league games saw both teams score and at least two goals.[/p]
