Monaco Strasbourg prediction 2025-04-19

Monaco vs Strasbourg prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-04-18 17:00.
[p]The Ligue 1 winner has already been determined, but there is still plenty of competition for the remaining UEFA Champions League spots and two of the sides challenging for them will meet on Saturday. Monaco began the round in second place, three points above sixth-placed Strasbourg, and will be targeting their sixth successive H2H victory in addition to their 26th win from their last 30 Ligue 1 H2H meetings as hosts (D2, L2).[/p]

[p]The Monégasques have been particularly solid at the back of late, conceding just four goals from their last six Ligue 1 matches (W4, D1, L1), which represents a huge improvement on their previous eight matches when they leaked 19 goals. That new-found solidity has helped Monaco win their last six Ligue 1 home games, their longest such streak since a run of 13 between December 2016 and September 2017.[/p]

[p]Their current winning streak could face arguably its sternest test yet this weekend as Strasbourg have won their last four Ligue 1 away games, all while keeping clean sheets. Le Racing have been in excellent form since the start of January, winning 71% of their league fixtures in 2025 (W10, D3, L1), which currently stands as their best calendar year percentage in Ligue 1.[/p]

[p]Those victories, added to four earlier in the season, mean that Le Racing have their highest tally of wins (14) and points (50) after 29 matches in Ligue 1 since the 1996/97 season. They finished ninth that season, but they know victory here would edge them closer to a return to the top table of European football for the first time since the 1979/80 season.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Maghnes Akliouche assisted both of Monaco’s goals in their home win over Nice at the end of last month and has also set up a goal in each of their last two H2Hs against Strasbourg. Andrey Santos got both assists for Strasbourg last weekend and he has either scored, assisted, been booked or produced a combination in their last four games (G2, A2, Y2).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Monaco have not conceded a second-half goal in any of their last five Ligue 1 home matches.[/p]
