Monaco Toulouse prediction 2024-12-07

Monaco vs Toulouse prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-12-06 16:00.
[p]A matter of weeks ago, Monaco were right in the thick of the title race, but at present, they’re well off the pace, trailing leaders PSG by seven points ahead of the round. Overthrowing the PSG juggernaut is a thankless task for anyone in the French top-flight, and if you’re to do so, you almost certainly can’t lose three of your last five Ligue 1 games (W2) – a fate Monaco have fallen to. [/p]

[p]Only one of those defeats came at home though, and that remains their only defeat from their last 11 league games at Stade Louis II (W8, D2). Despite that, Monaco are unlikely to be overconfident ahead of Toulouse’s visit though, as they’ve actually lost the last two home H2Hs 2-1, yet the fact they’ve won all six Saturday-held Ligue 1 games this season should boost belief they can avoid a trio of H2H defeats. [/p]

[p]Although Toulouse aren’t quite flying as high as Monaco, they start this round just two points shy of the top-six, so they harbour genuine European ambitions. Four wins from their last five league games (L1) have helped propel them up the table after a slow start, but their chances of success here probably hinge on a solid defensive showing as all five of their Ligue 1 wins this term came with an accompanying clean sheet. [/p]

[p]Their away form still undoubtedly requires some improvement (W2, D1, L3), but doing so against Monaco may be tricky given their negative top-flight away H2H record (W7, D5, L19). That’s a huge psychological hurdle to overcome, but a quick start could well help them on their way and, ahead of the round, no side has scored more Ligue 1 away goals in the opening 15 minutes this term than Toulouse (three). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Aleksandr Golovin has scored before half-time in Monaco’s last two Ligue 1 games – never before in his career has he scored in three successive French top-flight outings. Toulouse’s Vincent Sierro has scored on or before the hour mark in his last seven scoring club appearances – six of those saw him net a penalty. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Toulouse have kept four first-half clean sheets in their six away league games this term.[/p]
