Monza Como prediction 2025-04-05

Monza vs Como prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-04-04 13:00.
[p]A 3-0 defeat at fellow strugglers Cagliari last weekend left Monza rooted to the foot of the Serie A table, ten points adrift of safety and staring relegation in the face. The Biancorossi’s astonishing collapse sees them 27 points worse off than at the same stage last season, and as five of their remaining eight matches are against sides sitting in the top half, there appears little chance of a great escape.[/p]

[p]Bottom half opposition are in the pipeline in their next two games, starting with Lombardian neighbours Como, so Alessandro Nesta’s men may sense a rare chance of victory here. Avoiding defeat in three of their last five home games suggests they’ve every chance of a positive result (W1, D2, L2), and while results have been poor here, Monza have at least competed well with eight of their nine league defeats at Stadio Brianteo this term coming by a single-goal margin.[/p]

[p]Visitors Como make this short trip in poor form having failed to win any of their four matches since impressively beating Napoli last month (D2, L2). Boss Cesc FĂ bregas served a touchline ban as his side were held to a 1-1 draw at home against Empoli last weekend, and while that result will have disappointed the Spaniard, it kept Como a comfortable seven points clear of the drop zone.[/p]

[p]The Lariani’s situation would be much more comfortable if they could find the winning formula on the road, as only Monza (seven) and Venezia (six) have earned fewer away points than their ten (W2, D4, L9). Three of those defeats have come from Como’s last four such matches, with each loss seeing them concede exactly twice and receive a red card, so there’s clear room for improvement here.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Dany Mota is without a Serie A goal since October, and the home fans could be kept waiting even if it does arrive here, as three of his four league strikes this term came in the 70th minute or later. All three of Gabriel Strefezza’s Como goals this term came between the 40th and 50th minute, two of which came on the road.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Como have dropped a joint-league high 24 points from winning positions in Serie A this season.[/p]
