Monza Parma prediction 2025-03-15

Monza vs Parma prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-03-14 14:00.
[p]Monza are running out of time to beat the drop, as they remain a huge ten points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table with just ten rounds of the Serie A season remaining. There has been a sense of inevitability around relegation at Stadio Brianteo for a long time, as the Biancorossi have remarkably won just once in the league since October (D4, L15), with their only success in that time coming back in January against Fiorentina (D1, L7 since).[/p]

[p]Alessandro Nesta’s men can make inroads to their deficit to safety against Parma this weekend, as the visitors are the side directly above the relegation zone pre-round. They may not be ideal opponents for a must-win clash as Monza have failed to emerge victorious from any of the prior four H2Hs (D2, L2), most recently conceding in the 98th-minute to lose 2-1 in December’s reverse fixture.[/p]

[p]Parma have struggled since then, winning just once in ten Serie A matches (D3, L6), so it’s no surprise they also find themselves precariously placed in the table. New boss Cristian Chivu has at least avoided defeat in his first two home matches (W1, D1), but was beaten on his first trip to Udinese at the start of the month (1-0), with that the Crusaders’ fourth successive away league defeat, all coming by a one-goal margin.[/p]

[p]This is the first of back-to-back fixtures against sides who begin this round in the bottom six, before April brings four matches against teams currently in the top eight, so Parma may also consider themselves to be in must-win territory. That rings especially true with their gap to the drop zone standing at just two points pre-round, but a return of only a single victory in 13 away league matches this term offers little hope to the travelling supporters (D5, L7).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Samuele Birindelli netted Monza’s opening goal last Saturday, and has either scored (G2) or been booked (YC2) in four of his last five games. Hernani returned from injury last week and assisted his side’s equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Torino, so may be pushing for a start here having scored from the penalty spot in the reverse fixture.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Parma have led at half-time in only two of their 13 Serie A away games this season.[/p]
