Nantes Le Havre prediction 2024-11-24

Nantes vs Le Havre prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-11-23 16:00.
[p]After collecting seven points from their first three Ligue 1 matches, Nantes have slid down the table after failing to win any of their subsequent eight games (D3, L5), with only goal difference keeping them out of the bottom three at the start of this round. Goal scoring hasn’t been an issue for Antoine Kombouaré’s side, who drew a blank just once during that eight-match sequence, but rather it’s the six occasions of conceding 2+ goals (D1, L5) that have caused problems.[/p]

[p]The Canaries hold the joint-second worst home record in France’s top division and have now won just four of their 19 games since Kombouaré returned for a second stint as head coach back in mid-March (D6, L9). It’s worth noting that one of those victories was against their next opponents Le Havre, whilst Nantes’ only loss from their 15 Ligue 1 H2Hs on home soil was back in 2009 (W8, D6).[/p]

[p]The pressure on Le Havre manager Didier Digard boiled over last round when he was sent off and subsequently suspended for dissent in their 3-0 loss to Reims. Still the only team in the division yet to draw a game this term, Digard’s side sit one point below Nantes and in the relegation zone after winning just three of their opening 11 games (L8). Fears of a return to Ligue 2 are therefore just as prevalent as they were for the majority of last season.[/p]

[p]Le Havre are also currently Ligue 1’s lowest scorers, a statistic compounded by the fact that six of their eight goals came across their three victories to date. Having failed to score in six defeats already this season, whilst conceding the third-most of any side in the division pre-round (23), there are evidently problems at both ends of the pitch.[/p]

[p]Key battle: Nantes playmaker Moses Simon has contributed directly to five goals (G1, A4) in his last six games for club or country following an assist in Nigeria’s recent 1-1 draw with Benin. Hoping to stop him will be Le Havre defender Loïc Négo, who made his professional debut with Nantes in 2010/11 but is yet to win against them (D1, L1). [/p]

[p]Hot streak: No more than two match goals were scored in any of the last eight H2Hs. [/p]
