Nantes vs PSG prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-04-21 18:45.
[p]Despite sitting in 13th, Nantes are by no means out of relegation danger in Ligue 1 this season, coming into this midweek clash with PSG just three points above the drop zone. This clash serves as their game in hand, but it’s hard to see any way in which they take full advantage of it against the formidable Parisians, against whom they’ve lost five of the last six H2Hs (D1). [/p]
[p]Recent form offers little to suggest Nantes can end that run here having lost six of their last nine Ligue 1 games (W3). They can perhaps take a crumb of comfort from the fact that the last five games in that streak saw them alternate between defeat and victory, and having lost 2-1 to Rennes on Friday night, they’ll hope to see that streak continue just once more in the first of three successive home games which could prove key to their survival hopes. [/p]
[p]PSG have little left to play for in Ligue 1 having already wrapped up the title. Making history by completing an unbeaten French top-flight season for the first time ever is now their primary league ambition, and after beating Le Havre 2-1 on Saturday to secure a tenth successive Ligue 1 victory, they’re edging closer to doing so in style. [/p]
[p]The Parisians haven’t won more than ten Ligue 1 games in a row since opening the 2018/19 season with 14 straight victories. They’ll have to keep that winning run going all the way to the end of the season if they’re to break the Ligue 1 record for the most points after 34 rounds, and with an incredible 38-game unbeaten away league run in tow (W30, D8), Luis Enrique’s men could now secure the outright longest-ever streak without an away defeat across Europe’s traditional top-five leagues.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Nantes may have to be patient if Mostafa Mohamed is to score in back-to-back games given that all six of his club goals this term arrived after half-time. Ousmane Dembélé was given the weekend off and he does tend to perform on the road, where he’s scored 15 of his last 19 club goals.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Thirteen of PSG’s last 15 Ligue 1 games saw both teams score.[/p]
