Napoli Inter prediction 2025-03-01

Napoli vs Inter prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-02-28 17:00.
[p]Starting the round in second, Napoli’s clash with table-topping Inter Milan is a proverbial ‘six pointer’, but their preparations have been underwhelming to say the least. The Partenopei will end the weekend top of the pile should they win here, although that’s something they haven’t done in their last four in the league (D3, L1) – only four Serie A sides have won none of their last four games and the other three reside in the relegation zone pre-round![/p]

[p]Napoli need a response here if they’re to avoid falling further behind in the title race, but with just one win from their last 11 Serie A matches against Inter (D4, L6), that’s far from guaranteed. Boss Antonio Conte’s unbeaten personal record against the Nerazzurri paints a far brighter picture (W4, D3), yet he could claim a piece of unwanted history here as he’s never gone five Serie A games without a win in his managerial career. [/p]

[p]Inter would love to inflict such a fate upon their former boss, and they know doing so with a win would see them move further clear at the summit. Like their hosts, their recent form hasn’t exactly been sparkling, with Inter winning just two of their last five league games (D1, L2), but they did at least win in the Coppa Italia in midweek, beating Lazio 2-0 to set up a semi-final tie with fierce rivals AC Milan in April. [/p]

[p]That cup success came at home, and it’s on the road where Inter have struggled most of late, failing to win each of their last three away league games (D1, L2). Perhaps the most concerning aspect is the fact that all three games came against other top-eight sides, and with their away game after this one coming against fellow title challengers Atalanta, Inter ideally need to arrest that slump here. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Giacomo Raspadori has scored before the 20th minute in successive games for Napoli – seven of his eight for the club before that arrived after the hour mark. Marko Arnautović proved his worth among Inter’s battery of strikers with a goal in midweek, his third in succession this term to prove decisive in victory. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Napoli have conceded a league-low two home goals after half-time in Serie A this season.[/p]
