Napoli Parma prediction 2024-08-31

Napoli vs Parma prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-08-30 18:45.
[p]After beginning new manager Antonio Conte’s reign with back-to-back competitive scoring blanks in regular time, Napoli finally sprung into life with a 3-0 win over Bologna on Sunday. Conte called it a “starting point” of their journey as the Neapolitans halted an eight-game winless streak (D5, L3) in Serie A and by playing again at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, they now have the chance to post back-to-back home league wins for only the second time this calendar year.[/p]

[p]There’s still a gloomy mood in Naples over the future of Victor Osimhen, but that could be lifted with the imminent arrivals of Romelu Lukaku and Scott McTominay. The hosts won’t be taking newly-promoted Parma lightly though, having lost both seasonal H2Hs in 2019/20 by identical 2-1 scorelines, although they did avenge the defeats the very next season by winning both matches 2-0. [/p]

[p]Parma shined in a shock 2-1 win over AC Milan last weekend, giving them an unbeaten start to the league campaign following their 1-1 draw against Fiorentina on matchday one. It also marked their first top-flight win in 13 matches, stretching back to their previous campaign in 2020/21 and was a “perfect birthday” for manager Fabio Pecchia on Saturday, although he remains cautious, feeling that they still “have to adapt to Serie A.”[/p]

[p]Survival will still be the buzz word in the visiting camp, but if the Crusaders are to go into the international break with another three points, they will need to overturn an indifferent away record. Parma drew their last four away competitive matches and haven’t won across 14 Serie A road trips (D5, L9), so they will need to surprise their fans once again on Saturday![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored Napoli’s second goal against Bologna, marking his seventh goal from his last eight league strikes to arrive after the break. Matteo Cancellieri also scored Parma’s second goal in the second half in their win over Milan and his presence could be important, as his last three personal league H2Hs ended in 1-0 wins for his team of the day.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: The last time Napoli kept three clean sheets in a row in top-flight home matches was in October 2021, something they can emulate with a shutout here.[/p]
