Newcastle Arsenal prediction 2024-11-02

Newcastle vs Arsenal prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2024-11-01 12:30.
[p]Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea saw Newcastle United lose back-to-back Premier League matches for the first time since January and on top of that, they’ve now gone five consecutive league fixtures without a win (D2, L3). While they finally ended a run of more than seven hours without scoring from open play, they’re placed an underwhelming 12th ahead of the round, below where they would expect to be given they’ve no European commitments to manage this term.[/p]

[p]A 1-0 loss to Brighton the weekend prior acted as their first home league defeat since Manchester City beat them in January (W6, D5), so Magpies fans might not be too discouraged just yet. But after keeping just one clean sheet in their last six such fixtures (W3, D2, L1), they’ll likely need their forwards to fire against Arsenal, with each of the last five H2Hs here won ‘to nil’ by the side scoring first (W2, L3). [/p]

[p]Arsenal struck first against Liverpool on Sunday and led twice before being pegged back to draw 2-2 and after losing their previous league game at Bournemouth 2-0, Mikel Arteta’s side now sit a concerning five points behind leaders Man City. The Spaniard was “very disappointed” with the draw, and also unluckily had to withdraw centre-back Gabriel Magalhães with a knee injury.[/p]

[p]The Gunners have other key players unavailable before heading north for their longest league away trip of the season, a trip they undertake trying to avoid three straight winless Premier League road games for the first time this calendar year (D1, L1). Encouragement could come from winning four of the last six away H2Hs (L2) in a fixture that hasn’t produced a draw at St James’ Park since 2011 (Arsenal: W8, L3)![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Newcastle’s Alexander Isak has never scored against Arsenal but each of his last three league goals did come against London clubs, two of them between the 30th and 40th minute. After netting against Liverpool at the weekend, Bukayo Saka has now scored in each of his last three Arsenal starts while three of his four goals this term completed the scoring. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Newcastle are yet to score a Premier League goal inside the first 30 minutes this season.[/p]
