Nice Bodo/Glimt prediction 2025-01-30

Nice vs Bodo/Glimt prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – League phase betting tips on match 2025-01-29 20:00.
[p]Two sides who have played out very contrasting campaigns in this season’s UEFA Europa League (UEL) meet on matchday eight, as Nice look to finish with a flourish on home soil. After picking up just two points across their seven matches to this point (D2, L5), it’s been a particularly bad showing from the Eaglets which leaves them second-bottom and already eliminated.[/p]

[p]That means that Franck Haise’s side will be playing for pride, and to avoid making some unwanted club history in their first-ever meeting with Norwegian opponents. After failing to win any of their last four home European games (D2, L2), they could now record a five-match winless run on home soil in major continental competition for the first time ever! [/p]

[p]The home side’s poor home form will serve as an extra confidence boost for Bodø/Glimt, who make the lengthy journey south looking to secure a place in the top-eight. The Norwegian outfit sit just one point shy of that position after losing just two of their seven UEL league phase fixtures so far (W4, D1), and as a worse case scenario, are already guaranteed a top-24 finish.[/p]

[p]What is less than ideal for the reigning Eliteserien champions is the fact that they’ve won just three of their last 24 away games in major European competition (D9, L12). Even if they trail here, a fightback should be considered likely, as Bodø have won nine of their 13 UEL league phase points from losing positions – the most of any side in the competition. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Evann Guessand has ten goals for Nice this season, with four of his last five serving as match openers. Bodø/Glimt fans will hope that Kasper Høgh can strike again here, as each of his four European goalscoring appearances this season have ended in victory for his side (G5), including against Maccabi Tel Aviv last time out.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Nice (53) and Bodø/Glimt (61) have committed the fewest fouls of any sides during the UEL league phase.[/p]
