Nordsjaelland Trnava prediction 2023-11-09

Nordsjaelland vs Trnava prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-11-08 17:45.
It’s been a positive couple of weeks for Nordsjælland since the international break, winning four of five matches (L1) across all competitions, including their second from three group games so far in the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) away in Slovakia against Spartak Trnava (2-0). As the two sides now meet again in Denmark, the hosts know that three more points could see them top Group H heading into their last two games, which come against current leaders Fenerbahçe and a Ludogorets side hunting them down.

The Tigers will take inspiration from the fact that they’ve won all three of their European home games so far this season, scoring 14 and conceding just one. That includes a 7-1 demolition of Ludogorets in their last UECL home outing, and they also won at Right to Dream Park against Vejle Boldklub in the Danish Superliga on Sunday, although the 1-0 scoreline wasn’t quite as handsome.

Spartak Trnava are still without a point after three group games, and ominously, defeat here combined with a Fenerbahçe win could mathematically see any outside qualification hopes they still harbour officially brought to an end. Michal Gašparík’s side have at least won their last three domestically, including two away from home, which should boost belief there is life in their European campaign yet.

That’s offset by a woeful record on their travels in European competition where they have won just two of their last 14 (D3, L9), which includes a 4-0 thumping at Ludogorets on matchday one. And if the omens weren’t bad enough for the White Angels ahead of their first-ever game in Denmark, they’re also shackled with the unwanted record of having never kept a UECL away clean sheet (inc qualifiers).

Key battle: Youngster Christian Rasmussen is Nordsjælland’s joint-top scorer in the UECL netting a second half game closer in their last two European games. Facing him on Thursday is goalkeeper Dominik Takáč, who has made the fifth-most saves in the UECL group stage so far (11), though only four clubs have conceded more goals than Spartak (8) over the three games.

Hot stat: Nordsjælland have kept five clean sheets in the seven UECL games they’ve played so far this season including qualifiers.
