North Macedonia vs Armenia prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League C betting tips on match 2024-09-09 18:45.
[p]North Macedonia embark on their third successive season in League C of the UEFA Nations League (UNL) as the highest-ranked team in their Group C4 according to FIFA (#72), but their opening game proved it’ll be anything but a walk in the park. Blagoja Milevski’s men took on the lowest-ranked team in the group, the Faroe Islands (#138), and found themselves trailing after just nine minutes and eventually only managed to muster a 1-1 draw.[/p]
[p]That extends a poor run of form for the Lynxes who are now seven games without victory (D3, L4), and their problem seems to span the length of the pitch since they’ve conceded in each of those outings and have managed to score more than once in just one of those games. The Macedonians must now front up to a much sterner test against Armenia, but that could bring out the best in the home side, who have beaten their upcoming visitors in the last two H2Hs by an aggregate score of 8-1.[/p]
[p]It doesn’t seem it’ll be as easy this time around, especially with Armenia full of confidence after dismantling Latvia 4-1 in their group opener last time out – their joint-biggest victory since a 6-2 mauling of Gibraltar in November 2018. Perhaps that performance was driven by the rage of being relegated to League C for this edition of the UNL, after a paltry last cycle where they lost five of their six group matches (W1). [/p]
[p]The Armenians won’t be getting ahead of themselves, as they’ll remember that they also began with a victory in that relegated campaign in Group B1. Manager Oleksandr Petrakov will also be keeping his troops in check, especially as they’ve faced tough times on their travels by losing each of their last five international away games. [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Enis Bardhi came to the rescue from the penalty spot for North Macedonia against the Faroe Islands, and he’ll be hoping to lead the charge here since his six goals prior for his country all came at the National Arena Toše Proeski. He could be undercut by Armenian forward Vahan Bichakhchyan, whose goal after six minutes against Latvia was the third time he’s scored the match opener in his last four goalscoring outings for his country.[/p]
[p]Hot streak: Armenia haven’t kept a clean sheet in  22  successive international outings.[/p]
