North Macedonia Latvia prediction 2024-11-14

North Macedonia vs Latvia prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League C betting tips on match 2024-11-13 19:45.
[p]Apart from a 1-1 draw away at the Faroe Islands in their opening game of this campaign, North Macedonia have found life in UEFA Nations League (UNL) Group C4 to be something of a breeze. They come into the fifth round of matches looking for their fourth successive victory ā€˜to nilā€™, one of which was a 3-0 win against Latvia in Riga last month which maintained their 100% winning H2H record (W4).Ā [/p]

[p]With such a strong record, itā€™s no surprise to see the Lynxes begin this gameweek with a six-point lead at the top of the group. Itā€™s hard to see that run ending here either give they havenā€™t lost at home since June 2023 (W2, D2), which includes draws against Italy and England, so there will be an expectant home crowd in Skopje hoping to witness at least a draw to guarantee their promotion to League B.[/p]

[p]Latvia are the only side who can prevent North Macedonia from topping the group at the end of the league phase, but they havenā€™t won any of their last ten away games (D3, L7) since a 2-0 victory against Liechtenstein in June 2022. After losing all six of their games and scoring in only two on the road in 2023, they have at least drawn two of their last three away fixtures and scored in all three in 2024, so there are small signs of progression.[/p]

[p]Playing in League C of the UNL is new territory for Latvia who were promoted in 2022/23. However, the step up has proved to be a tough one as Paolo Nicolatoā€™s side begin this round only one point above the Faroe Islands at the bottom of the table and may still need to pick up points to avoid an immediate relegation back to League D.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Forward Elif Elmas scored in North Macedoniaā€™s win in Riga last month – that was his fourth goal contribution (G3, A1) across three H2H games. Latviaā€™s three away goals in 2024 include one own goal with Andrejs Cigaņiks scoring or assisting the other two.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Latvia havenā€™t led in any of their last nine away games (D2, L7).[/p]
