Norwich Burnley prediction 2023-02-04

Norwich vs Burnley prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2023-02-03 12:30.
The David Wagner revolution is firmly underway at Carrow Road with Norwich winning back-to-back league games under his guidance, scoring exactly four goals in each match. What makes those results even more impressive is the fact both came away from home, with this clash against table-topping Burnley Wagner’s first home league game in charge.

It’s not only Burnley’s lofty position which makes them a less-than-ideal opponent for Norwich, but from Wagner’s perspective, he has never beaten the Clarets in five managerial H2Hs (D3, L2). That concerning H2H record is amplified by a wretched home run which has seen the Canaries win just one of their last nine Championship games at Carrow Road (D3, L5).

For the second time in a week, Burnley are making the long journey from the North West to the South East. They drew 0-0 away to Ipswich last weekend in the FA Cup, failing to score for only the third time this season, but they’ll be confident of bouncing back here on their return to league action, as they’ll head to East Anglia boasting an imperious record of eight successive Championship wins.

With just two wins in their last 11 visits to Carrow Road (D2, L7), a visit to Norwich hasn’t historically been one the visitors have enjoyed. But if any Burnley side is going to improve upon that torrid run though, it’s this one, and with three successive away league wins currently the joint-second longest active streak of any EFL side, the Clarets may feel quietly confident they can stretch their already sizeable lead atop of the Championship.

Players to watch: Kieran Dowell has been a revelation under Wagner, netting twice across the last two league victories, two of which arrived before half-time. Similarly influential of late, Ian Maatsen has scored three of Burnley’s last five away league goals, all of which arrived in the first half.

Hot stat: No Championship side has been caught offside on average more than Burnley this season (2.4 per game).
