Norwich Plymouth prediction 2024-03-29

Norwich vs Plymouth prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2024-03-28 15:00.
[p]Norwich City manager David Wagner claimed his side were feeling “very confident” after they dispatched strugglers Stoke with ease prior to the international break (3-0), scooping their third win ‘to nil’ from their last four Championship matches (L1). They’ll now aim to put another relegation-threatened side to the sword in Plymouth Argyle, who hammered the Canaries in an extraordinary reverse fixture that finished 6-2.  [/p]

[p]Much has changed since that September meeting, with Norwich having firmly catapulted themselves into the Championship play-off picture. They start the round sixth and three points clear of seventh-placed Hull, but the Tigers do boast a game in hand meaning the home side will be desperate for another three points here. A near-perfect home league record against sides starting this round inside the bottom half this season (W8, L1) should inspire plenty of belief on that front. [/p]

[p]Things have turned sour for Plymouth boss Ian Foster, who is under mounting pressure despite only joining the club in January. He was unbeaten in his first five competitive games in charge of the Pilgrims, but has since won just one of their last ten outings (D2, L7), something which has contributed to them being sucked into the relegation battle. [/p]

[p]If they are to extend the two-point gap to the relegation zone, then Foster needs to find a way to unlock more firepower from his side’s attack. They have managed just one goal in four league matches and failed to register a single shot on target at home to Preston last time out, while the fact just two sides have conceded more goals than Plymouth somewhat exacerbates that issue. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Norwich’s Gabriel Sara has been thriving of late, directly contributing to five goals across his last four league matches (G3, A2). Trying to shut him down may well be Plymouth defender Lewis Gibson who enters the gameweek having made more blocks than any other player in the league (69).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Norwich are looking to win seven-straight Championship home games for the first time since a run of nine consecutive victories in November 2003. [/p]
