Norwich Swansea prediction 2024-04-27

Norwich vs Swansea prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2024-04-26 14:00.
[p]After winning eight home fixtures on the bounce, Norwich City had to settle for a point last weekend at Carrow Road when they came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Bristol City. The result leaves the Canaries still in a strong position to claim a play-off place and post-game manager David Wagner paid tribute to his players, recognising that “they’ve been fantastic in recent weeks and months.”[/p]

[p]Their form has catapulted them up the table from 17th in early November to sixth place and level on points with West Bromwich Albion in fifth. Only Leeds have taken more points from the last 20 games and Wagner’s side have been particularly strong in defence on their home turf, having conceded just eight goals in their last 15 matches across all competitions (W11, D4).[/p]

[p]Swansea City are another side who are reaping the rewards of keeping the back door shut and they make the long journey east to Norfolk looking for their fourth successive clean sheet, as well as their fourth win in a row. The victories have seen the Swans banish what were genuine relegation worries earlier this month and shoot up the league with a top-half finish now a real possibility.[/p]

[p]In their last game, Luke Williams’ side travelled to thrash second-bottom Huddersfield Town 4-0, but this trip to Norwich is likely to be their toughest match since their winning run began as the other three were against sides below them in the table. Still, the Swansea faithful will be keen to enjoy their final away fixture of the season, particularly at Carrow Road, a ground where they saw their side triumph 3-0 in April last season to end a run of seven games without a win at this venue.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Borja Sainz got the equaliser against Bristol City last weekend and Norwich are yet to lose in the league when the Spaniard has found the net (W4, D2). Liam Cullen is the only Swansea player to have scored in the first half across their last nine games and the striker netted in the 39th minute on his only previous visit to Norwich last season. In fact, nine of his last 11 strikes have arrived before half-time![/p]

[p]Hot stat: Norwich have not conceded a first-half goal in their last four games.[/p]
