Nottingham Crystal Palace prediction 2022-11-12

Nottingham vs Crystal Palace prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2022-11-11 15:00.
After Nottingham Forest’s big-money summer signing Morgan Gibbs-White insisted his side were “cheated out of three points” by VAR in their 2-2 draw against Brentford last week, the Tricky Trees are sure to still be smarting as they return to face Crystal Palace. Perhaps that was the frustration talking for Gibbs-White, who knew three points against Brentford would have lifted them off the foot of the Premier League (PL) table.

Forest have just one more chance to ensure they don’t go into the World Cup break bottom of the league, and after going three PL games at the City Ground unbeaten (W1, D2), they do at least appear in the right place to do so. Encouragingly, Forest have never lost a PL H2H against Palace (W2, D2), but with this the first such meeting since 1995, history likely won’t have much bearing on the result.

Palace’s ambitions before the prolonged break are far different, with Patrick Vieira’s side eyeing up a victory that would cement their place in the top-half. Three wins from their last four PL outings (L1), all of which came by a single-goal margin, have steered Palace away from the clutches of relegation, though Vieira insists his side “still have a lot to improve”.

Away form is certainly one area Palace can improve upon, with their 2-1 win against West Ham last time out ending a run of seven winless PL road trips prior (D4, L3). Securing back-to-back away league wins for only the second time in Vieira’s Palace reign is now the ultimate aim, and Palace may have every confidence of entering the break on a high as they are unbeaten in their last eight PL games against newly-promoted sides (W4, D4).

Key battle: Despite hopes of making England’s World Cup squad, conceding a PL goal at an average of every 42 minutes this season is eye-catching for all the wrong reasons for Forest stopper Dean Henderson. Aiming to inflict more misery upon him, Wilfried Zaha is the only Palace player to score more than one away league goal this term, both of which arrived before half-time.

Hot stat: Forest have conceded a league-high 12 PL goals from outside the box.
