Osasuna Alaves prediction 2024-12-08

Osasuna vs Alaves prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-12-07 17:30.
[p]Osasuna and Alavés approach the weekend in markedly different circumstances and nine places apart in La Liga, but with both sides having endured three consecutive league matches without victory. Osasuna have fallen out of the top-five place they were enjoying on the first Monday of November, but might be close to returning there if they can record a ninth win in ten top-flight H2Hs (D1).[/p]

[p]Manager Vicente Moreno was frustrated with a second successive league clash in which his team drew after leading (1-1 at Sevilla), but with Osasuna having won six of their first seven such matches this season in which they’ve been ahead, it’s not a concern yet. And if they rediscover the ability to close out games, Los Rojillos will improve on their already-impressive record of five wins from eight La Liga home encounters this term (D2, L1), even if the majority of those victories have been a little too close for comfort. [/p]

[p]Alavés also occupied fifth place at one point earlier this season, but since then, things have been nothing short of disastrous for the club. After losing seven of their last nine La Liga games, they sacked Luis García on Monday, and have now turned to former Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Coudet to keep them above the bottom three. [/p]

[p]In November 2020, Coudet inherited a Celta side that had won just one of their first ten league matches of the season and immediately transformed them into the best team in the division for a four-game period in which they scored the most goals (11), conceded the fewest (one) and earned the joint-most points (W4) in the competition. Alavés will therefore be hoping that he can help them recapture the form of August and September immediately and allay any fears of relegation.  [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Ante Budimir has struck in each of the last three H2Hs, opening the scoring in two, and is in sharp form, having netted three times across his last two La Liga appearances. By contrast, 35-year-old Kike García has never tasted a league win against former employers Osasuna (D3, L4), scoring twice in those seven matches. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Nine of the last ten La Liga H2Hs have produced less than 2.5 goals. [/p]
