Palmeiras FC Porto prediction 2025-06-15

Palmeiras vs FC Porto prediction: WORLD: FIFA Club World Cup betting tips on match 2025-06-15 22:00.
[p]Match four of the Club World Cup (CWC) is a Group A fixture between 2021 runners-up Palmeiras, one of Brazil’s most successful clubs, and Porto from Portugal, who are making their debut in this competition despite winning 86 major trophies.[/p]

[p]Match News and Current Form[/p]

[p]Palmeiras can lay claim to being the first ever club world champions after winning the Copa Rio in 1951 long before the FIFA CWC was formed, but yet to win this tournament, they launch their latest bid for glory on the back of winning eight of their last ten outings (L2). Continuing that positive momentum may be tricky as, despite boss Abel Ferreira knowing opponents Porto well having previously managed in Portugal, he has a poor managerial record against them (D1, L5).[/p]

[p]Porto finished third in the Portuguese top flight, some 11 points adrift of champions Sporting, but they did at least end their campaign with three straight victories which should give them some confidence as they embark on a first ever CWC campaign. While they might be debuting in this competition, the Dragons are two-time Intercontinental Cup winners (1987 and 2004), although neither of those victories came against clubs from Brazil.[/p]

[p]Head-to-Head History[/p]

[p]These teams have never previously met in competitive action. This will also be Palmeiras’ first-ever game against a Portuguese club and Porto’s first against a side from Brazil.[/p]

[p]Including the previous CWC format, European clubs have won their last four CWC matches against teams from Brazil.[/p]

[p]Hot Stats and Streaks[/p]

[p]Four of Palmeiras’ last five matches produced over 2.5 goals.[/p]

[p]Each of Palmeiras’ last five matches witnessed scoring after the 75th minute.[/p]

[p]Porto scored 2+ goals in four of their last five competitive matches.[/p]

[p]None of Porto’s last 11 games in all competitions were goalless at half-time.[/p]

[p]Key Players to Watch and Missing Players[/p]

[p]EstĂȘvĂŁo comes into this tournament on the back of five goal contributions across his last five appearances for Palmeiras (G3, A2), opening the scoring in his last three goalscoring outings. Porto’s Francisco Moura has netted before half-time in two of their last three games – his last three club goals have all been headers.[/p]

[p]Marko Grujić remains Porto’s main absentee, he’s been out of action since October with a heel injury. Palmeiras don’t have any notable injury absentees ahead of their group opener.[/p]

[p]Betting Analysis[/p]

[p]This could well be a cagey affair between the group’s heavyweights, but with Palmeiras around a third of the way through their domestic season and Porto having just finished theirs, thus not playing competitively for weeks, it could be worth backing Palmeiras in the ‘draw no bet’ market.[/p]
