Parma vs Bologna prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-02-21 14:00.
[p]A manic three-minute spell in which Parma were reduced to ten men and then conceded saw them lose 1-0 at home to Roma last weekend, a result which stretched their winless run to seven league games (D2, L5). The last four of those all ended in defeat and spelled the end of Fabio Pecchia’s reign, with the untested Cristian Chivu enlisted as his replacement. [/p]
[p]Chivu’s only prior experience in the dugout is with Inter Milan youth teams, but he needs to hit the ground running here as the Crusaders start this game in the relegation zone and a point adrift of safety. A home game against Bologna could work to his advantage as they have picked up seven points from their last six games at Stadio Ennio Tardini (W2, D1, L3) including a 3-1 win over Lazio, who like Bologna, have European qualification ambitions.[/p]
[p]Bologna haven’t lost a H2H since December 2012 though (W4, D6), and another win here will temporarily lift them into the European qualification places. Adding to that majority of H2H draws certainly can’t be ruled out though, as Bologna have averaged nearly a draw every two league games this season (11 out of 24). Even scoring first hasn’t helped Bologna with their drawing curse, as no side has drawn more than their six Serie A matches after taking a 1-0 lead this season.[/p]
[p]That was nearly the case in their last match too, where they needed a late own goal to inch past Torino 3-2 despite taking an early lead. They may not be so lucky here as they’re serial drawers on the road, with six of their last eight away games ending in a stalemate. Second-half entertainment is equally as predictable, since their Serie A away games have averaged more goals after half-time (1.92) than any other side pre-round.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: On his Parma managerial bow, Chivu will hope his fellow Romanian Dennis Man provides an early impact, as his last four league goals have come at this venue, three of which were match openers inside the opening 25 minutes. That record could be challenged by Dan Ndoye, who scored a brace in Bologna’s last win against Torino. His four Serie A scoring appearances have seen him net the match opener!  [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Parma haven’t kept a clean sheet in 18 consecutive Serie A home matches.[/p]
