Parma Torino prediction 2025-03-08

Parma vs Torino prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-03-07 14:00.
[p]Struggling Parma weren’t able to follow up their 2-0 victory on Christian Chivu’s managerial debut against Bologna as they suffered a fifth defeat in six Serie A matches (W1) when falling 1-0 to Udinese in the last round. Owing to that and other results conspiring against them, Parma’s cushion to the bottom three shrank to a single point ahead of the round.[/p]

[p]Since the start of December, Parma have only won three league games (D2, L9), but all of those victories came here at Stadio Ennio Tardini. The arrival of Torino certainly doesn’t promise that the balance in that time at home will be tipped in favour of the win column, as despite their opponents’ bottom-half standing, Parma have a better home record against sides starting this round in the top half (W3, D1, L3) than against those in the bottom half, winning just once against such opposition (D2, L4).[/p]

[p]A 2-0 victory over rock-bottom Monza saw Torino secure back-to-back victories for the first time since the end of August, but they still started this round five points adrift of the top half, with their season heading towards an uninspiring finish. In fact, they had three more points at this stage in the previous two seasons, so Serie A’s perennial mid-table finishers look to be heading for yet another mediocre season.[/p]

[p]Having lost just once since the start of December on their travels (W2, D4), Torino should still feel confident of getting something from this game, not least because they are yet to lose a single league game against teams starting this round 16th or lower (W3, D3). The Granata conceded just once across those matches, winning all three on the road with a clean sheet.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Parma’s Simon Sohm has scored three of his four goals this season at home, scoring the last goal of the game in all three scoring appearances. Eljif Elmas has scored twice across Torino’s last three matches – each of his last four Serie A goals came on the road, with three coming after the break.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Parma have conceded exactly three goals in three of their four home league defeats against bottom-half sides.[/p]
