Portugal U21 Poland U21 prediction 2025-06-14

Portugal U21 vs Poland U21 prediction: EUROPE: Euro U21 betting tips on match 2025-06-13 19:00.
[p]Portugal made a solid start to this UEFA European U21 Championships, battling to a 0-0 draw against another one of the stronger outfits in the competition, France. And having progressed beyond the group stage in three of their last four European U21 finals appearances, belief in the camp should be high that they can take another positive step to repeating that feat in this contest against Poland. [/p]

[p]Portugal certainly looked like they were going to be a team to be reckoned with based on qualifying, winning nine of their ten games (L1) while scoring 2+ goals in every victory. Yet having now won just one of their last five matches (D2, L2), manager Rui Jorge will be hoping his side can rediscover that winning touch as they look to take control in Group C.[/p]

[p]Poland suffered a nightmare start to these finals as they went down 2-1 to Georgia, with the decisive strike coming four minutes into second-half stoppage time. That was just their second defeat in seven matches (W3, D2), which manager Adam Majewski might use as ammunition to boost the confidence of his side, especially as another negative result is likely to result in a premature exit.[/p]

[p]It’d be a familiar story for Poland at this level in this tournament, with both of their two finals appearances this century (2017, 2019) ending in group-stage exits. Recent H2H history is at least on their side, with the most recent meeting against Portugal back in November 2018 ending in a 3-1 victory. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Portugal midfielder Diogo Nascimento proved true to form against France, picking up another yellow card to make it his third in four games for club and country. Jakub Kaluzinski, scorer of three goals during qualifying for Poland, was back on the scoresheet in the defeat to Georgia, with that his first strike for club or country since October![/p]

[p]Hot streak: Poland’s last eight matches have produced 3+ total goals, with seven seeing both teams score. [/p]
