PSG Angers prediction 2025-04-05

PSG vs Angers prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-04-04 15:00.
[p]PSG’s season continues to go from strength to strength as they battled from 2-0 down to beat second-tier Dunkerque 4-2 in midweek and book their place in the Coupe de France final. The 6-1 away league win at Saint-Étienne before that, a fifth league victory in succession while scoring 3+ goals, extended their lead at the top to a remarkable 21 points, meaning with just seven games to go, a point here will secure their 13th Ligue 1 title! [/p]

[p]Considering they haven’t lost a Ligue 1 game all season (W22, D5), the prospects of confirming the title seem high, while another avoidance of defeat would also mean PSG would become just the second team to go unbeaten in their first 28 games of a French top-flight season after Nantes in 1994/95. A dominant H2H record of 15 successive Ligue 1 wins against Angers – the longest winning streak by one team against another in the competition’s history – suggests they should secure both feats in style.[/p]

[p]At the other end of the table, the visitors remain in a fight to secure their top-flight status for next season. They start the gameweek just three points clear of the relegation play-off spot after a rotten run of no win in five league matches (D1, L4), with the last four of those games ending in defeat without scoring a single goal. [/p]

[p]You’d have to go back to May 1980 for the last time Angers lost five successive Ligue 1 games without scoring, but with three of their past five competitive visits to Parc des Princes ending in such a manner, it looks like a long standing record that could well fall. One positive for Angers’ fans is their decent record away at the league’s top sides, with just one of four away games against pre-round top-six sides ending in defeat (W1, D2). [/p]

[p]Key battle: PSG winger Bradley Barcola has delivered seven assists in 11 Ligue 1 appearances in 2025, more than any other player and as many as he managed in the whole of 2024! Angers’ Yahia Fofana will be the goalkeeper tasked with preventing that tally from growing, and he’s made the most saves in Ligue 1 this season ahead of the round (114).[/p]

[p]Hot streak: PSG are without a home clean sheet in seven Ligue 1 matches. [/p]
