PSG Le Havre prediction 2025-04-19

PSG vs Le Havre prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-04-18 15:00.
[p]PSG were given an almighty scare on Wednesday night, but survived a spirited Aston Villa comeback to advance to their third UEFA Champions League semi-final in five seasons. While the 3-2 defeat on the night ended a run of seven successive wins across all competitions, the Parisians will be in buoyant mood as they return to domestic action looking to edge a step nearer to French footballing immortality.[/p]

[p]Already confirmed as Ligue 1 champions, Luis Enrique’s men are aiming to become the first team to ever go through a Ligue 1 season unbeaten (W23, D5). They remarkably sit just two points shy of their points tally for the whole of last season and have dropped just four points at home all season (W12, D2), but encouragingly for visitors Le Havre, both draws were against sides starting the round in the bottom half.[/p]

[p]Another slip-up appears unlikely given Le Havre’s struggles, as their two-match winning streak was abruptly halted by a 5-1 thrashing against Rennes last week. Their joint-heaviest defeat of the campaign dropped them back into the relegation zone with just five games left to play, and their two-point deficit to safety is only likely to grow considering their winless return in H2Hs this century (D1, L7).[/p]

[p]Also working against Didier Digard’s men is their dreadful record against the division’s better sides, losing 12 of their 14 matches against sides starting this round in the top half (W2). Nine of those defeats came by multi-goal margins, and it’s a problem Le Havre will have to find a solution to considering four of their next five matches are against top-half opposition.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: PSG forward Bradley Barcola has still never lost when scoring at club level (W17, D2), although one of the two blemishes on that record came in a thrilling 3-3 draw in last season’s corresponding fixture. Abdoulaye Touré has scored five times in as many appearances for Le Havre, with each of those goals coming before half-time.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: PSG’s Ligue 1 matches this season average a league-high of 3.79 total goals, with 71% featuring 3+ goals.[/p]
