PSG Lille prediction 2025-03-01

PSG vs Lille prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-02-28 20:05.
[p]With a whopping 21 goals from their last five outings in all competitions, PSG are in perfect form to stretch their 13-point lead atop the Ligue 1 standings as they prepare to host Lille. In a crunch week where they’ll also face runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League (UCL), boss Luis Enrique will have little doubt about the importance of warming up with a victory here. [/p]

[p]The omens are good, as the Parisians have lost just one of their last 28 home games against Lille in all competitions (W19, D8). Unbeaten in an incredible 25 Ligue 1 games (W20, D5), PSG are also yet to suffer a loss this league campaign after 23 matchdays – it’s just the fourth time that’s happened in competition history, with this the third time the Parisians have done so![/p]

[p]This fixture is no walkover with Lille, French champions as recently as 2020/21, winning three of their last four league games (L1), tailended by a 2-1 victory over Monaco which lifted them into fourth place and above their defeated rivals. More still needs to be done if the Mastiffs want to secure qualification to the UCL automatically, as they still trail the top three by two points pre-round.[/p]

[p]Lille bring defensive solidity on their travels, with no side having kept as many clean sheets away from home in Ligue 1 this season (six). They haven’t managed to shut PSG out in their last seven league meetings (D1, L6), with the last time they managed a H2H clean sheet in Ligue 1 also coming back in their title-winning campaign.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Ousmane DembĂ©lĂ© is one of just two players in Europe’s top-five leagues to have scored more than five goals with his right (eight) and left foot (seven). He was on target in a thumping 7-0 win in the cup midweek which took PSG’s goal tally for the season past 100. Lille midfielder Hakon Arnar Haraldsson scored his first-ever brace in the French league last time out, making up four direct goal contributions from his last six league outings (G3, A1). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: PSG have conceded the fewest goals before half-time in Ligue 1 this season (seven).[/p]
