PSG vs Nice prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-04-24 18:45.
[p]PSG may have already wrapped up a record-extending 13th title, but they are still chasing history as the campaign nears an end. While focus is largely on whether Luis Enrique’s side can become the first club in the history of the French top flight to go through an entire league season unbeaten, a victory over Nice would also be their 25th of the season, equalling the record for a 34-game season in Ligue 1.[/p]
[p]Few would back against the Parisians coming out on top either, given they had won ten league games in a row before a surprise 1-1 draw with Nantes on Tuesday. The fact they netted at least twice in eight of those 11 matches shows just how lethal PSG have been going forward, and it’s just as well they’re deadly in front of goal because they’ve conceded exactly once in eight of their last nine home league games.[/p]
[p]That’s one of few chinks in PSG’s armour, but it’s one Nice will be desperate to exploit given they have UEFA Champions League qualification to play for. The Eaglets finally arrested a five-game slump (D2, L3) by beating Angers 2-1 in their most recent match, and although they enter this round in fifth place, a mere two-point deficit to the top four could very easily be clawed back.[/p]
[p]Recent history suggests they may struggle in this game though, as Nice have failed to pick up a single away point this season against teams starting this round inside the top six (L4), conceding at least twice in each fixture. Nice conceded twice and still won this corresponding fixture last season (3-2), but it’s worth noting that was their only win from their last 13 top-flight away H2Hs (D4, L8) and they haven’t won successive such matches since the mid-1990s.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Vitinha scored for PSG against Nantes on Tuesday, but with that game ending 1-1, it was the first time he had not finished on the winning side when netting against a team from France (W15). Nice will be desperate for Gaëtan Laborde to end his eight-game drought considering they’re unbeaten in his eight scoring appearances this season (W6, D2).[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Only PSG (35) have scored more first-half goals than Nice (33) in Ligue 1 this season.[/p]
