PSG Reims prediction 2025-05-24

PSG vs Reims prediction: FRANCE: Coupe de France betting tips on match 2025-05-23 19:00.
[p]After winning Ligue 1 at a canter, a famous treble still remains a possibility for PSG, who are bidding to claim a record-extending 16th Coupe de France title. With a UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan to come a week after this clash with Reims, the Parisians will hope to claim a fifth win in six games across all competitions (L1) to keep their momentum going. [/p]

[p]It’s hard to look beyond PSG here, largely because they’ve now won each of their last 11 games in this competition since a 2-1 defeat to Marseille in February 2023. Drawing both of their league H2Hs 1-1 this season suggests they might have a battle on their hands to extend that run against Reims, who have become something of a bogey side for PSG, with five of the last six H2Hs ending level.[/p]

[p]Another draw would lead to extra time and potentially spell disaster for Reims, who haven’t had the luxury of a week’s recovery time like PSG have. That’s because they played the first leg of their relegation play-off against Metz in midweek (D 1-1), and with the return leg coming in the days after this clash, boss Samba Diawara and his side have two huge games ahead, albeit next week’s play-off may be deemed the more important of the two. [/p]

[p]It could be argued that this cup final, just their fourth in club history, serves as a welcome distraction for Reims. What will cause a little concern is how they’ve got here, as they’ve netted just seven goals during their 2024/25 Coupe de France campaign in total. Only two teams have reached the final having scored fewer goals over the last 35 years, and with both of those going on to lose, the omens don’t look great for Reims.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: PSG’s DĂ©sirĂ© DouĂ© has netted in each of PSG’s last four Coupe de France games, scoring after half-time in three of those games. Reims will hope that Junya Ito can inspire them here as he created 83 chances in the French top-flight this season – the most of any player. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Three of Reims’ four Coupe de France matches in 2025 were decided on penalties. [/p]
