PSG Toulouse prediction 2024-11-22

PSG vs Toulouse prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-11-21 20:00.
[p]While PSG may be free of the Kylian MbappĂ© sideshow, off-field distractions continued to weigh the Parisians down over the international break. Reports that Sporting Director LuĂs Campos is on Arsenal’s shortlist to replace Edu have hardly provided the perfect backdrop for a crucial week that starts by welcoming Toulouse, but perhaps most notably includes a trip to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.[/p]

[p]The Parisians’ struggles in that competition may prompt them to rest players here, as might the commanding six-point gap they boasted at the summit over the international break. A run of five consecutive Ligue 1 home victories has helped build that, though their form at the Parc des Princes has been formidable for much longer, losing just once there in the league since September 2023 (W13, D5).[/p]

[p]Ironically enough, that sole defeat came against Toulouse in May (3-1), with the Violets impressively avoiding defeat across both H2Hs last season (W1, D1). The visitors should arrive in the capital full of confidence after a run of three successive league wins ‘to nil’ – a run which has propelled them to within two points of the European places pre-round.[/p]

[p]Two of those wins came on the road, so Toulouse may be quietly confident they can secure a third set of three successive away league victories in 2024. However, their success on this ground last season was their first away win against the Paris giants in the top-flight since October 2008, so Carles Martínez Novell’s men are understandably placed as big outsiders as they chase back-to-back H2H wins.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: PSG’s Kang-in Lee directly contributed to three goals before half-time in his side’s 4-2 destruction of Angers two weeks ago (G2, A1) – he also scored against Toulouse in January in the TrophĂ©e des Champions. Primed to respond could well be Josh King, who has scored in successive away matches for the Violets, with each strike arriving inside the opening 30 minutes.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Six of Toulouse’s seven away league goals this season came before half-time.[/p]
