Rangers Aris prediction 2023-11-30

Rangers vs Aris prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-11-29 20:00.
Sitting second in both the Scottish Premiership and UEFA Europa League (UEL) Group C, Rangers can take a huge step towards qualification with a victory over Cypriot side Aris Limassol here. The odds on offer suggest a Rangers win is highly likely, although the 2021/22 competition runners-up failed to justify their tag as favourites when suffering defeat in the reverse fixture (2-1). Yet having won just one of their last 11 UEL away games, a home return will be welcomed.

Rangers are actually unbeaten in their last eight UEL home games (W7, D1), with five consecutive victories ahead of this just one shy of their greatest-ever home winning streak in this sphere. In fact, the Glasgow club have only actually trailed in games for 15 minutes during their current unbeaten UEL home run, so a strong start may well be expected against the floundering Cypriots.

Reigning champions of Cyprus for the first time in their history, Aris are struggling to translate their domestic triumph to the European stage as they sit bottom on just three points. Their fate remains in their own hands, however, as two victories could still see them finish as high as second. Yet a defeat here combined with a Sparta Prague victory will see them eliminated from Europe with a game to spare.

The latter of those outcomes seems the more likely as Aris themselves have lost all but one of their European away games (W1, L5), including conceding seven goals across their only two UEL away group matches in their history. It’s not all bad from an Aris perspective, as they took the lead in their very first UEL away group game and have had the ball in the back of the net five times in two trips, albeit with VAR ruling two out!

Players to watch: Rangers’ Brazilian striker Danilo has scored in each of his side’s last two competitive home victories and three of his five goals this season proved to be the match winner. He will be trying to get the better of his former Santos teammate, Cajú, who plies his trade as a defender at Aris and enters this clash on the back of two straight yellow cards.

Hot stat: Just one of Rangers’ last seven home games produced a goalless first half.
