Rangers (Sco) Dyn. Kyiv (Ukr) prediction 2024-08-13

Rangers (Sco) vs Dyn. Kyiv (Ukr) prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Qualification betting tips on match 2024-08-12 18:45.
[p]Due to delayed construction work at Ibrox, the second leg of this UEFA Champions League (UCL) third qualifying round between Rangers and Dynamo Kyiv will take place just under three miles away at Hampden Park. With the war in Ukraine forcing the first leg to be played at the Arena Lublin in Poland, it means that neither team will play their home game at their own ground![/p]

[p]Thanks to a 94th minute equaliser from Cyriel Dessers in the first leg, Rangers just need to win this match to advance to the play-off round and be only two games away from the all-new and  lucrative league stage. After advancing from the UCL qualifiers in 2022/23, the Gers fell at the final hurdle last season, but will return to their temporary home in good spirits after getting their first win of the season at the third attempt with a 2-1 victory over Motherwell on Saturday.[/p]

[p]Dynamo Kyiv began their domestic campaign with an away victory by the same scoreline against Veres Rivne on Friday and will make the long trip to Glasgow targeting a second successive European triumph on the road after brushing aside Partizan 3-0 in the previous round. That result was all the more impressive as it ended a run of 12 away fixtures in Europe (D3, L9) over 90 minutes without a win![/p]

[p]What is less confidence-boosting is the Blue & Whites’ struggles on previous trips to Scotland, winning only one out of four (D1, L2), with that triumph coming against Celtic way back in 1967. However, they are unbeaten across all competitions so far this season (W3, D1) and know that a victory by any margin on Tuesday evening will see them progress to the play-off round where either Red Bull Salzburg or FC Twente await. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: After setting up the equaliser in the first leg, Rangers’ Václav Černý scored the winner on Saturday and will be looking to make it two goals in two games at Hampden Park in this match. Andriy Yarmolenko missed Friday’s fixture but the Dynamo winger is targeting his third goal in as many UCL games after opening the scoring with first half strikes against both Partizan and Rangers.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Dynamo Kyiv have led at half-time in all four of their matches so far this season.[/p]
