Rayo Vallecano Leganes prediction 2024-09-28

Rayo Vallecano vs Leganes prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-09-27 14:15.
[p]Having already faced four of last season’s top-six finishers in La Liga, a return of nine points represents a very solid start for Rayo Vallecano, who’ve now avoided defeat in their last three matches (W1, D2). It was a backs-to-the-wall effort for Iñigo PĂ©rez’s men on Wednesday night, as they held on for a goalless draw against Girona in which they managed just two shots – neither of which were on target![/p]

[p]Despite their lack of threat going forward, Pérez was keen to stress it was a “very good point” as they head into a seemingly kinder fixture against Leganés. Rayo won two of their three home fixtures against newly-promoted opposition last term (L1), and having avoided defeat in seven of their nine home H2Hs against the visitors (W5, D2), confidence should be high in the home camp.[/p]

[p]A positive start to the season has quickly come undone for Leganés, who are now winless in five matches (D2, L3) and subsequently find themselves in the bottom half of the table. Boss Borja Jiménez is keen to keep the mood up in the camp, describing the 1-1 draw at Getafe last weekend as “positive” despite throwing the lead away just seven minutes after scoring in that fixture.[/p]

[p]He might have his work cut out if they can’t turn things around soon, and finding some offensive prowess could be key, as LeganĂ©s have failed to score in four of their seven league outings so far this season – the joint-highest total pre-round. There’s still plenty of reason for encouragement in the away camp however, as LeganĂ©s won both of the only two prior H2Hs in the top-flight, while they’ve also lost just one of their last seven away games in La Liga (W2, D4).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Rayo’s Andrei Rațiu has directly contributed to a goal in back-to-back home league matches (G1, A1), while he was one of just two of their players to have a shot against Girona on Wednesday! Jorge Sáenz ended Leganés’ four-match scoring drought by netting against Getafe, his eighth consecutive strike to arrive after half-time.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only two first-half goals have been scored across Leganes’ seven league games this term.[/p]
