RB Leipzig vs Dortmund prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-03-14 17:30.
[p]RB Leipzig’s fight for Europe has stalled since the turn of the year with just one of their nine Bundesliga games in 2025 delivering a win (D6, L2). Marco Rose’s men have slipped three points adrift of the top four heading into the weekend and with a chasing pack forming behind them, who are all hoping that the Red Bulls go five games without a win for the first time ever in the Bundesliga. [/p]
[p]Leipzig’s 39 points at this stage is their joint-fewest after 25 rounds of a top-flight season, but there may be hope they can start improving on that as they welcome notoriously poor domestic travellers Borussia Dortmund. The hosts have won in six of the last eight H2Hs in all competitions (L2), although the reverse fixture was one of those two defeats. [/p]
[p]Dortmund came from behind in that game to win 2-1, but they have since lost all seven league games in which they conceded first. That run includes a 1-0 home defeat to Augsburg last week in which they managed just one shot on target, meaning Niko Kovač’s first five league games in charge of the club have delivered just six points (W2, L3). [/p]
[p]Kovač restored some credit in midweek as the Black and Yellows successfully recovered from a goal down to beat Lille in the UEFA Champions League, setting up a tantalising  quarter-final clash with Barcelona. Dortmund can ill afford to rest on their laurels as they are in desperate need of Bundesliga improvements and know victory at the Red Bull Arena would move them to within a point of their hosts.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Leipzig’s Xavi Simons is set to play his 50th Bundesliga game here – he’s had a hand in five goals in as many Bundesliga home games in 2025 (G4, A1). Maximilian Beier scored the decisive goal for Dortmund against Lille and was involved in both goals in the reverse fixture (G1, A1).  [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Cologne were the last side to record more goalless draws in a single season (nine in 2014/15) than Leipzig’s current total of six. [/p]
