RB Leipzig Freiburg prediction 2022-11-09

RB Leipzig vs Freiburg prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2022-11-08 19:30.
After a poor start to the season, RB Leipzig are currently enjoying their longest unbeaten league run of the campaign (W4, D2). Their 14 points collected during this period is more than any other Bundesliga side, while they also managed to score 2+ goals in five of those six matches. Bang in form and back within the Champions League qualification picture, the club’s hierarchy will feel their decision to sack Domenico Tedesco in September and replace him with Marco Rose has proven to be a very wise one.

When you add in all competitions, Rose’s men are actually undefeated in 11 matches so confidence will be sky-high in extending that run here. Particularly because Leipzig have not lost any of their last six Bundesliga home matches against Freiburg (W4, D2); against no other current Bundesliga side have they gone longer at home undefeated.

This is a much different Freiburg outfit though, and they’re coming into the round five points ahead of their hosts and crucially just one behind league-leaders Bayern Munich after an impressive start (W8, D3, L2). On the back of their last victory over Cologne, head coach Christian Streich beamed “I’m absolutely thrilled for the team” as he lauded how well they performed.

That was their third successive 2-0 victory and with five of their six goals during that time coming after the break, growing into games has been a theme throughout the campaign for Freiburg. This is further highlighted by the fact 70% (14) of their goals have arrived after half-time, and although there’s still a long way to go, another strong finish en route to victory here could have fans dreaming of a shock first-ever Bundesliga title success.

Players to watch: Scorer in May’s DFB-Pokal H2H final, Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku has been desperate to solidify his place on the French plane heading to this month’s World Cup, scoring six goals in his last five competitive matches; the last three were match-openers. Aiming to outdo him will be Freiburg’s Michael Gregoritsch who not only scored and assisted in their last game, but can also boast of winning more aerial battles than any other player after the last round (68).

Hot stat: No side has a better first-half home record than Leipzig in Bundesliga action this season (HT: W5, D1).
