RB Leipzig Hertha Berlin prediction 2022-10-15

RB Leipzig vs Hertha Berlin prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2022-10-14 16:30.
Following a shaky opening three games in the RB Leipzig hotseat (W1, L2), Marco Rose has found his feet with a four-game unbeaten run (W3, D1) which culminated in a brilliant Champions League win in Glasgow during midweek. Rose’s personal and public criticism of striker Timo Werner for being “petulant” when substituted seems to have worked a treat as the striker responded by scoring the opener in their latest win.

Attention now turns back to Bundesliga matters, and with Leipzig lingering in the bottom-half after their worst ever nine-game start to a top-flight season (W3, D3, L3), there is plenty of work to be done. Forging a four-game winning run on home soil for the first time since February would be a good start, and with ten goals scored and just one conceded across the last four and a half hours of play here, the Red Bulls are certainly charging towards that.

After picking up just one of the first 12 available points, Hertha Berlin have since notched a five-game unbeaten run of league games (W1, D4). That’s the second-longest active unbeaten streak ahead of this round behind Freiburg, yet Hertha are also currently on their longest run of Bundesliga draws since a five-game streak back in 2005/06!

Draws are often uninspiring, but battling back from deficits in three of their last four games suggests this side won’t lie down easily, especially as two of those games came against sides currently competing in Europe. Solidity doesn’t always indicate success though, and Hertha’s one win after nine rounds is their lowest total in the top-flight at this stage since 2009/10!

Players to watch: Christopher Nkunku’s seven goals from nine Bundesliga rounds is the highest return for any Leipzig player in club history at this stage of a top-flight campaign. As for Hertha, Suat Serdar hasn’t been far from the action during their run of stalemates, and he has two goals and as many yellow cards from his last three appearances.

Hot stat: Leipzig have won more Bundesliga games against Hertha than they have against any other club (W10, D1, L1).
