RB Leipzig Holstein Kiel prediction 2025-04-19

RB Leipzig vs Holstein Kiel prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-04-18 13:30.
[p]RB Leipzig’s UEFA Champions League qualification bid is back on track after their first pair of successive Bundesliga wins since December. The Red Bulls staved off a spirited comeback from Wolfsburg to win 3-2 last week in their third match under interim boss Zsolt Lőw (W2, L1), who’ll now be targeting further improvements considering they sit just three points shy of the top three![/p]

[p]His side start as big favourites against bottom-of-the-table Holstein Kiel as Leipzig are unbeaten in all of their 35 Bundesliga games against promoted sides (W31, D4) – the longest run in league history. Wins from 18 of the last 19, and a 2-0 victory in this season’s reverse fixture, set the hosts up to do the double over a side for the first time this campaign.[/p]

[p]A dismal run of one win from their last 12 Bundesliga games (D4, L7) has left Holstein Kiel with a mountain to climb to beat the drop, as they enter the weekend 11 points adrift of definite safety and four points off the relegation play-off place. Failing to win after opening the scoring in back-to-back matches, most crucially against fellow strugglers St Pauli last time out, leaves them precariously positioned ahead of a tough run-in, with all of their remaining five matches against sides currently in the top ten.[/p]

[p]Positives can be found on the road, where Kiel are curiously the only side in the Bundesliga to have scored in every game on their travels this term. Their problems persist at the other end, conceding a league-high 34 goals en route to just one win (D4, L9), collecting just seven away points – the worst return of any side in the division.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Five of Benjamin Šeško’s last six goals for Leipzig have come at home, three of which were match openers. Alexander Bernhardsson has netted both of Kiel’s goals across their last two games, but he has been on the winning side just once in his last five scoring appearances (D1, L3). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Leipzig have scored a league-high 57.4% of their goals this season in the first half. [/p]
