RB Leipzig Mainz prediction 2024-03-30

RB Leipzig vs Mainz prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-03-29 14:30.
[p]A hat-trick of Bundesliga victories before the international break have reignited RB Leipzig’s hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. The Red Bulls, who have played in European football’s premier club competition in each of the last five seasons, head into this round just one point off the top-four, buoyed by dishing out a 5-1 hammering to Cologne in their last outing.[/p]

[p]Such form has eased the pressure on manager Marco Rose, who had come under increased scrutiny after a run of just two wins in eight league outings prior (D2, L4). His side have now rediscovered their winning touch, particularly at home, where three successive 2-0 victories in the Bundesliga mean they can register a fourth home clean sheet in a row in the league for the first time since December 2018.[/p]

[p]That is not good news for opponents Mainz, who arrive at the Red Bull Arena with the division’s worst away record, failing to win any of their 13 matches on the road so far (D6, L7). The most recent of those was an 8-1 battering at the hands of Bayern Munich – their heaviest defeat in five years – although they did at least respond by winning 2-0 at home to Bochum before the international break.[/p]

[p]That was a second success in five games for new manager Bo Henriksen (D1, L2), who has managed to lift the club out of the bottom-two since taking the reins in February. They remain very much at risk of seeing their 15-year stint in the top-flight come to an end though, as they sit in the relegation play-off place and have a six-point deficit to claw back on 15th place. [/p]

[p]Key battle: RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Šeško has only lost two of the last 25 games in which he has scored (W19, D4). He will be looking to get the better of Mainz goalkeeper Robin Zentner, who has had to pick the ball out of the back of the net 24 times in just ten H2Hs, making the Red Bulls his second-worst team to face in terms of goals conceded.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: While Mainz have conceded a league-high of ten goals in the opening 15 minutes of Bundesliga matches this season, only Bayern have scored more than Leipzig’s ten strikes in the first quarter-of-an-hour.[/p]
