RB Leipzig vs Werder Bremen prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-01-11 14:30.
[p]Despite spending the winter break inside the Bundesliga’s top-four, RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose remains a man under pressure. That’s in no small part down to a run of four defeats from their last seven league matches (W2, D1) – as many as they suffered in their previous 30 such games! And with the last three of those losses seeing the Red Bulls concede a whopping 14 total goals, it’s clear that defensive improvements are needed.[/p]
[p]The most recent of those was a 5-1 reverse to leaders Bayern Munich, a result which left Leipzig with their joint-second lowest haul of 27 points at this stage of a top-flight season. Encouragement can be found from hosting Werder Bremen to kick off 2025 at least, as not only have Leipzig avoided defeat in all seven Bundesliga meetings they’ve hosted (W6, D1), but Rose has never been beaten by the River Islanders as a manager at any venue (W5, D3)![/p]
[p]This Bremen side appear a very different animal however, and victory for Ole Werner’s men at the Red Bull Arena would leapfrog them above Leipzig in the table. Confidence will be high after avoiding defeat in both H2Hs last season (D2), while Bremen also went into the winter break having won three successive top-flight matches – they’ve not managed four since 2014/15.[/p]
[p]The road is exactly where Werner will be most confident of achieving such a feat as his Bremen side have accumulated 16 of their 25 points this term in away matches. That total can only be bettered by Bayern pre-round, while the nine travelling wins Werder accumulated in 2024 was their most in a calendar year in the top-flight since 2006 (ten), with an impressive six of those victories being accompanied by a clean sheet. [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Leipzig striker LoĂŻs Openda directly contributed to eight goals in as many matches before Christmas (G4, A4), and opened the scoring in his first-ever H2H after half-time – eight of his ten goals this term also came beyond the interval. For the visitors, Jens Stage could become the first Bremen player to directly contribute to goals in six successive Bundesliga matches since their top-flight return if he contributes here (G4, A1).[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Of the 13 away goals Bremen have conceded in the Bundesliga this season, just two came after half-time.[/p]
