RB Leipzig Wolfsburg prediction 2024-04-13

RB Leipzig vs Wolfsburg prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-04-12 13:30.
[p]Following a 4-1 win over Freiburg last weekend, which extended RB Leipzig’s unbeaten run to five straight games (W4, D1), the Red Bulls snuck into the top four for the first time since the conclusion of round 18. That well-timed run brings their total up to 53 points, a better return than at the same stage of the last two seasons, although their work is far from done in terms of securing Champions League football again.[/p]

[p]A continuation of some solid home form will be crucial in maintaining their top-four tilt as they seek a fifth straight home league clean sheet (W3, D1). A visit from Wolfsburg may be enough to get the nerves jangling at the Red Bull Arena though, as whilst Leipzig were unbeaten in 15 of the first 19 competitive clashes (W10, D5), they’ve already faced this opponent twice this season, losing on both occasions.[/p]

[p]Extending that H2H winning run to three games remains unlikely for the Wolves however, as they’ve failed to win across their last eight visits to this venue (D2, L6). There’s perhaps extra incentive for them to do well here as Wolfsburg teeter just five points above the bottom-three, whilst new manager Ralph Hasenhüttl faces a trip to his former club in what is just his third game at the helm for Wolfsburg (W1, L1).[/p]

[p]That victory in Hasenhüttl’s away debut is Wolfsburg’s only victory across the last 13 rounds (D6, L6) and curiously enough, the travelling support may arrive here with cautious optimism given that nine of their last 12 Bundesliga points were picked up on the road. Alas, the Wolves travel here as the underdogs and that’s a tag they don’t often cope well with as their 13% win-rate as pre-match outsiders is amongst the worst in the league (W2, D3, L11). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Leipzig’s top league scorer Loïs Openda (G21) has found the winning goal in each of his last three scoring appearances, though his last five strikes have all come on the road. Jonas Wind similarly leads the way for Wolfsburg (G9), although his wait for that tenth league goal has been ongoing since he opened the scoring in the first ten minutes in the 2-1 reverse victory. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Wolfsburg have failed to win over half of their league games when scoring first this season (W6, D3, L4). [/p]
